-Assignment:
-Create a nonlinear site that engages participants from multiple points of view in a narrative.
-Participant:
-Myself: As the creator of this story it was easier to dileniate a nonlinear path, than if I had used a story written by another.
-Conclusion: Designing a nonlinear website required a lot of experimentation on my part.

-Kat: A good friend of mine, whose no stranger to prolonged communication through electronic media. However, enjoys the company of others.
-Conclusions:
-My friend had a really tough time dealing with the prolonged physical separation. My physical presence added a sense of comfort that could not be achieved through electronic communication.
-Assignment:
-Appropriate and alter the index page of a well known site.
-Participants:
-Myself: I worked very hard to make my detourned site appear as though it was the BAT's actual site.
-British American Tobacco: I chose this company because they are one of the leaders in tobacco production. Not only there are many documents citing this company for foul practices such as smuggling.
-Conclusion:
-Recreating a professional website allowed me to approach web design from a corporate perspective. I had a lot of fun re-creating the site with the information I thought was pertinant.

Disembodiment and Dislocation:
I designed this site trying to capture an electronic feel and the sense of sending and receiving files. The background I used creates a spaced out and semi-dislocated feeling. The commentary I used for the days was necessary to tie together all the files that I posted, without the commentary the site would not make sense for the assignment in pertains to and also for any one casual viewer.
I designed this site hoping to keep the feeling of the story through each path that the participant traveled. The images I used were taken from www.imageafter.com, which allows individuals to use their stock photos as long as they manipulate them. I changed the images to create a sense of hyper-realism through coloration and contrast.
The idea behind this assignment was to make the site appear as though it would be published by the actual company if they wanted people to know all the activities the company participates in not just the good. I used a lot of the graphics already on the site to maintain the feeling. Mainly I altered text and links.
These directions were created with the intention of being tedious and time consuming. However, I also wanted people to look at things from different perspectives. I used a simple layout, with a tabbed folder feel so the site visitor feels as though they are opening and looking through documents.
